Pendant Health Acquires ARC Fertility Assets to Deliver on its Commitment to Evidence-Based Fertility Care
Pendant and ARC Fertility were built on the same belief: fertility and family building care should be guided by evidence-based medicine, validated clinical outcomes, transparency, and patient-centered support. That philosophical alignment guided the decision for Pendant to acquire select ARC Fertility assets, further accelerating Pendant’s mission to deliver what’s next in family building.
For nearly three decades, ARC Fertility has been a foundational force in reproductive medicine innovation and access. Founded in 1997 by Dr. David Adamson, ARC helped establish one of the fertility industry’s longest-standing provider networks, built around validated, peer-reviewed Centers of Excellence committed to evidence-based medicine and optimal patient outcomes.
Pendant is acquiring ARC Fertility’s established provider network, innovative direct-to-consumer fertility programs and packages, and the expertise and leadership of Dr. David Adamson himself.
The transition strengthens Pendant’s ability to deliver more connected, clinically validated fertility and family building solutions for employers, providers, and patients nationwide.
A Shared Foundation in Evidence-Based Fertility Care
Pendant and ARC Fertility share a foundational belief that better fertility outcomes begin with evidence-based medicine. Beyond clinical leadership, ARC Fertility has played a major role in advancing education, advocacy, and access across reproductive healthcare.
ARC has long supported organizations including RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association and the American Medical Women's Association, reflecting its longstanding commitment to patient advocacy, women’s health, and equitable access to care. For decades, ARC Fertility has helped define clinical quality standards in reproductive medicine while expanding access to care nationwide. ARC also endowed the ASRM consumer education website ReproductiveFacts.org in perpetuity, one of the most trusted patient education resources in reproductive medicine.
Dr. Adamson is widely recognized as one of the pioneering voices in fertility and reproductive healthcare. A double board-certified OB/GYN and reproductive endocrinologist, he is a former President of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and serves as Chair of the International Committee for Monitoring Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ICMART) for the World Health Organization. His career has spanned clinical care, research, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and health policy, helping over 80,000 people form their families worldwide.
Throughout his career, Dr. Adamson has authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications and consistently advocated for higher clinical standards, improved access, and measurable outcomes in fertility medicine.
“I have built my career around the belief that evidence-based medicine must remain at the center of fertility care,” said Dr. Adamson. “Pendant shares that commitment. Bringing together strong clinical standards, validated provider networks, and innovative patient solutions creates an opportunity to improve care delivery and outcomes for more individuals and families.”
Accelerating the Future of Fertility Care
Pendant views this transition as an acceleration of its broader mission to improve fertility and family building care by better aligning clinical evidence, patient experience, and benefit design.
“For decades, ARC Fertility has pioneered products and services with a highly respected and curated network of providers that expand access and drive innovation in the fertility space,” said Pam Schumann, CEO of Pendant. “This acquisition allows Pendant to leverage decades of leadership in reproductive medicine to help shape the next generation of evidence-based fertility and family building care.”
Pendant also confirmed that all existing ARC Fertility business operations will continue uninterrupted. Patients, provider partners, and employers can expect a seamless transition with no service disruption.
